Default Transferring Templates In Game

Since the templates are basically text strings, why not implement a system that lets you send a template to someone else in-game, maybe through a modified trade menu or something? In the worst case, make an ability to paste the text string into a box in-game to setup the template --- no need to exit to game and open notepad.

I like it.

But do you think you could think of a way to actually make this easier than they already are?

I have a high end computer so alttab/open template notepad/copy/paste would only take 10 second tops, which I don't think is very hard at all, so forgive me if I'm shortsighted on this and it actually takes longer for other people to go through the same process.

Well, I admit it's more of a selfish reason for me. I run Guild Wars under Cedega (A windows emulator), so tabbing out tends to be an iffy prospect. Also, I imagine it'd be less of an annoyance as a whole if I could just say to a friend, "Hey, wanna help me test this build?" and just pop it over, no tabbing needed.

i really thought that transferring templates was going to be implemented when it came out. guess not.

anyway, i think it's a great idea.. for those goddamn people telling me what build I should run. as for saying just ctl clicking the bar... the other person still has to shuffle through their skills. this is convenience. unnecessary, but still a convenience.

/signed oh yeah!

Such a simple addition and so helpful, this should have been always a part of the template system.
Look here http://www.guildwars.com/competitive...withgrenth.php
- they even post these template strings like "AxNR0kcdHCbURvKnngBAGoAA" in their articles, so why not just add a field where it can be pasted while in game? Or just #teamsay your string so someone can copy (...ehm a chat interface update allowing selecting text for copying, please)
Currently if you create a new template file manually, you have to restart the game for it to appear in the Load Template menu. These simple suggested changes would even free some server resources used while a player logs in and enters an area!

Suggested before. I have no idea why it isn't in-game already.
